Another NO lift line Olympic day at Alta. 24.6K vertical, and we had to leave at 3:30 to make dinner and an Olympic medal ceremony. The morning was overcast with isolated areas of very high winds, the worst being the traverse from Sugarloaf back to Germania. There was maybe an inch new, with a bit more deposited by wind in some places. There was a slight crunch underneath in areas exposed to the past 3 sunny days. Snow was generally better on Supreme and Sugarloaf than Germania, but anything north facing was still pretty soft. The weather moderated after lunch and the sun came out about 2:30.
