A-Basin was surprisingly good today. Why surprising? Because while
Loveland got 8", A-Basin got 3". Strange but true. Still, things were nice
and forgiving.

Nick found an alternate entrance to a natural half pipe that involves
flying off a lip into about 15 feet of air before landing on the downside
of the half pipe wall.

From there, after making big, swooping turns into the Land of the Giants,
it was lock-picking time. The configuration of the rock formations there
present countless cool little puzzles, curvy or straight lines through the
cliffy place abound. All steep and with hazards galore. Some of them
involve jumping near, and sometimes far. Fun stuff.

Below that is a red hot section of tree skiing. The lines were smokin' in
there today.

The open woods accessible from the Pali Chair were set up pretty nicely
too, but they had seen more traffic and in the occasional spot, cover was
thin.

The season is still young.
