Day 56: 39" of corduroy

I'd debated between taking Thursday or Friday off to ski. I should've taken Thursday. I took Friday. The 10-second rule of April was in effect, and the Thursday night wrap-around never happened as predicted.

That meant that I was skiing groomers after a 39-inch snowstorm. The UV hit the new snow pretty hard on Thursday, gelling into giant roller balls on Friday. Not what I had in mind, but it still beat working.

Of note was the pink snow. The strong southeasterlies blew from an odd direction, depositing some of Moab's finest with the snow. Odd. That, and the number of tourists. Usually at this time of year it's just die-hard passholders, but today I met folks from Toronto, DC and El Paso, and the former two were none too disappointed by conditions, even though I was.
