Sun, calm and more P at Mt B

Nothing really huge has happened here lately, but maybe that's good. It has been snowing consistently, with very good snow usually, so the surfaces have been excellent. Every morning there is a fresh coat, and this morning was bound to be good as the top was due to open and sunny skies were promised. Last Saturday featured awesome freshies off the back, and today was going to be just as fine.

We have 85" at mid mountain (7300'), so even though we missed all the excitement, the conditions have been great for weeks. We also have a very sturdy and stable snowpack, so they have been getting the Summit Chair open FAST. They even had it open at 2PM last Thursday, unheard of before we started complaining.

This is Beverly Hills run off the Summit Chair (named for Beverly Healy, the founder's wife). The top has come into form and the front side groomers are chalky. Typically the powder on this section of the top is always damaged. There are other spots however...

Really good riding off the back today and the sun is getting higher but not effecting the snow back here yet.

This is on my third lap looking down one of the cool chutes on this side of the summit cone.

Peering down Devil's Backbone, groomed today right off the come back trail on NWX. Heading back to the top...

Now I'm in the Cirque Bowl, with Horseshoe Bowl providing some fun jumping opportunities.

Lower down on the West Ridge with the top of Pine visible. Just going 'round and 'round, getting kinda dizzy.
