Wild weather to affect western UP of Michigan

Well snow lovers, looks like winter is starting early in the Western UP of Michigan. Forcast is calling for almost 2FEET of the white stuff, looks like lake affect snows mostly. This is pretty early and I would be supriosed if this base sticks around for opening skiing day.
Talk about the wild weather this area gets, 15 foot waves on Lake Superior with possiable water spouts, wind gust as high as 55mph, and 2feet of snow!
