SNOW WILL DEVELOP THIS MORNING AND MAY BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES
THIS AFTERNOON INTO TUESDAY BEFORE TAPERING OFF TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED
FROM THIS STORM WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS OVER THE SPINE OF THE KEWEENAW PENINSULA.
IN ADDITION TO THE HEAVY SNOW...STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING IN
EXCESS OF 40 MPH AT TIMES THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY TUESDAY MAY
CAUSE NEAR-BLIZZARD CONDITIONS AT TIMES IN BLOWING SNOW. THE
STRONG WINDS MAY ALSO BREAK TREE LIMBS AND CAUSE POWER OUTAGES.
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL
MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS.
