Spring skiing in MI?

I've never skied past the second weekend in March in Michigan. It sounds like most places have a pretty good base this year, and tentative closing dates are in mid April. Anyone have any experience in late March or April? Or gone to any of the end of the season parties some of the resorts throw? I'm mostly curious about how fast the conditions deterioate and how many runs they keep open.

With no disrespect intended, who cares? Sun, suds and snow...what more do you need?

After powder, it doesn't get any better than spring skiing IMO. Even if it's thin and the snow gets tinged with brown it doesn't matter.

It beats golf.

Michigan s[ring skiing is great - I regularlly ski Nub's Nob and the Boyne into late March and early April. Nub's plans to close on April 6th this year. They typically close due to a lack of skier, NOT due to lack of now, there us usually snow on the mountain through April.

Boyne Highlands will close in mid to late March, Boyne Mountain thereafter. It can be great so ski it if you can!
