Agreed. At 23 miles over 2 days I wouldn't worry too much about your fitness level!

And what kind of bird actually calls through the middle of the night?

Dunno, I push on hard rather than have natural fitness! I believe it might have been a grouse but I am not sure.

A peat hag is a peat bog. The picture below would be a reasonable example.
