In the ski off season I decided to tour the Outer Hebrides, one of the more remote outposts in Europe taking in the magical St Kilda which is one of only 24 sites in the world with dual World Heritage status.

Highlights included:
- St Kilda (last inhabited 1930) and Boreray (highest sea stacks in the UK and largest gannet colony in the world)
- Mingulay (last inhabited in 1912)

In addition to climbing Conachair(highest sea cliff in the UK at 1,410ft) on St Kilda and Sheabhal on Barra, I also ventured off the bike to climb Eaval on North Uist.

The Scottish islands are one of my favourite places to visit. For anyone interested here is a link to slideshows from previous trips:

^Wandering along the peerless Traigh Siar, Berneray. The Thai tourist board used pictures of this beach to promote their own beaches back in Thailand!?!

Enjoy!

Mrs Admin and I just watched both this and your Norway slideshow on the big screen TV. Beautiful shots and excellent work as always, Craig!
