Tool for Edge Sharpening

I need a quick tool or jig which I can run down the edges to keep them sharp in between trips to the shop for a full tune (grind/wax/etc.)

I don't want to even consider free-filing with a hand file.

Right now, I'm looking at the Reliable Racing page:

Can you recommend a product, perhaps from the page referenced above?

Thanks.

I have one of these (except it says "Toko" on it). It has worked well for me.
I believe mine actually goes from 0 degrees to 5, rather than the 1 to 5 as stated in the blurb. Most of my skis get a 0.5 degree base bevel and a 3 degree side for New England skiing. You may prefer a larger base bevel to make the skis more forgiving, or 0 degrees for quicker response.

I believe most modern skis ship with a 1 degree base, 2 degree side.

A diamond stone is also nice to have. Use it to remove burrs from the edges prior to sharpening. The burrs are hard enough to mark your file, but the diamond stone removes them easily.

Thanks Chromer. Do I need to buy the stone or file separately? Are they custom-sized for this jig or will any one fit?

Mine came with a file, a gummi pad, and a little brush for cleaning out the file. It should take any 4" file or stone. Probably best to check before ordering...

I've for years had the Ski Visions device from Reliable Racing, and love it. I also wholeheartedly concur with Chromer's advice.

picked up a similar looking tool from http://www.tognar.com Tognar throws in it's print catalog, which has much advice including the angle settings for all the ski manufacturers. Thanks for the advice, hope to try it before I get out tommorrow.
