While I don't have any experience with Tahoe bootfitters personally, those shops certified by America's Best Bootfitters have been through Masterfit University, the bootfitting training program run by Steve Cohen, boot editor for SKI Magazine. We sent writer to one of their multi-day clinics a number of years ago and we were impressed by the thoroughness of the training.

If your Sierra travels take you to Mammoth, Footloose is one of the best.

Elite Feet is my personal favorite. They do a great job on custom foot beds if you want, but won't force them on you like other places seem to do. Christian and his guys know what they are doing, and put a tremendous amount of effort into making their products flawless. Hopefully this helps.
