June, Day 6.

Another fun day, not quite as good as the last trip. Paid a visit to friends on the summit, and to the snowfields. 3 Runs, the vertical has not diminished much since a week and a half ago, however this thing is getting narrow and undermined with water and rocks poking through. Since the sun was not out, the snow was more ice than it was corn.... Still fun. Makes 47 days this season, with 7 more to come on August 3rd when I head to Portillo!!!!!!

Funny thing happened overnight. I had a dream last night that once I finish hiking up to Hermit Lake, there was a HUGE gondola terminal with restaurant, etc. From that point there were boat rides at the bottom of the bowl and maybe 3-4 t-bars and pomas with full of skiers that lend from Hermit into and above the Bowl. There was also a quad lift. :shock:

Happy to see from your pictures that last night was just a dream...or was it :?: It seemed pretty foggy, maybe you didn't the new gondola and lift that were built since your last visit. :roll:

I think I need to see a psychologic about my skiing addiction. :? Maybe a few of us that get together and get a group discount. :lol:

PS. I should be on ski next weekend. :wink:
 
nice one porter. unless it is raining on sunday, i am going to tux for my june turns tomorrow. weekends this month have been very uncooperative, so it is now or never. last year i did july 2nd, hopefully there will be still some snow next week but i am not counting on it. 4th of july turns would stellar.
