Hi everyone! I posted here about a year ago asking about employment on ski fields.... well I have my Canadian Working Visa and am looking to go across to Alberta this November for a season! I was wondering what the best resorts would be for me to find employment at? Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, Mt Norquay, Marmot Basin, Nakiska, Castle and Fortress Mountain arent looking too bad. I wondered if anyone had any tips about finding accomodation in Banff/Jasper as I havent done this before! Any tips that will land me a job in these resorts? Im from Australia, do I have to dress like an eskimo to keep warm in the Canadian winter?? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.... not long to go now

Andrew

Sunshine has gobs of intermediate terrain and good natural snowfall. Lake Loo has something for just about everyone, but a lot less snow. Castle? You'll be a part-timer, at best. Marmot? Very little else up there to keep you entertained. Nakiska and Fortress are both extremely lacking in the natural snow world.

You'll likely be housing in Canmore or further afield -- Banff is very, very expensive. And yeah, the Canadian Rockies can be a might bit nippy in January.

As for jobs, have you checked sites like Coolworks and SkiResortJobs.com?
