Need new skis and bindings

Postby tirolerpeter » Sat Aug 25, 2007 9:16 pm

OK guys, I just bought the "Alta-Bird Season Pass" (I was up at Snowbird yesterday with a visiting nephew and took him up the Tram.) and now I am in the market for a new pair of skis and bindings.

So firstly, where are the best local (I now live in Draper, UT) sources for good deals?

And secondly, what should I buy for the conditions that I will likely encounter this coming winter?

Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Think SNOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having spent some time skiing with you, I'd recommend something around 90mm underfoot - you don't want/need a full-on powder ski, but will benefit from some extra floatation. Watch the swaps this fall, wade through the junk and hope to find a gem.
