Better late than never... maybe.

21-22nd at Killington was OK. -10F fri and -15F sat am. Hot-hands took the edge off. Manmade was being laid down fairly firm (on purpose). Ovation opened with silky but firm swales... strange feeling, but fun. Devil's Fiddle was the only one they were blowing fluff on, and it was nice. Got some big ol' soft bumps, but was too crowded (just the fiddle) so I bailed. They also put this huge big air jump on bear that launches you out over the viper pit. I have to see someone launch that sometime.

Who cares about the 22nd though!

23rd Killington. There reports were accurate. At least 10" on the car in the AM - maybe 1ft. Great powder day. Not really windy though ('cept superstar headwall), and not much drifting. They were dropping ropes left and right... I hit openening of Royal Flush perfectly and had a chubby by the end of the run. I only found the dipper woods and the ramshead woods to be open. Left enough ptex on the dipper to not revisit or poach others.... although the snow was great, just not covering enough. Empty for a nice saturday. Still tracks to be had at the end of the day on the out-of-the way trails. Never made it over to bear, but I'm sure OL and the fiddle were great. Every other trail at bear now has terrain parks on them.

24th Mt. Snow. Lots of drifts, probably got 18" initially. Some cruisers were so windblown that it was groomed hardpack... but on skiers-left of many trails there was windblown 2' to 5' drifts all over the place. Pretty quiet too (monday). Woods there were better than K - but shallower pitch, so less likely to get dinged making harder turns. Terribly fun plowing through/over the drifts!

Should be a great weekend coming up!
