Mammoth 4 person rental at a value?

Postby flannelman808 » Sat Jan 01, 2011 7:10 pm

Anyone have any advice on places to stay for an inexpensive cost. Im heading up to mammoth with 3 others and haven't ever spent the night up there. We are going to be there from the 24th (Monday) until the 27th or 28th (thursday or friday). Any insight on good finds would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

Davison Lodge (dorm style lodging) is generally the cheapest place in town. It's well maintained but you are sharing a bunk room and the bathrooms. Davison also has a kitchen if you want to prepare your meals and a common room with TV.

Janaury midweek is somewhat slow. You should probably call around to the reservation services to see if you can get a 1BR 1970's vintage condo for a reasonable price.

I work at the resort, but we are doing January Midweek Madness (JMM) so I would suggest either doing the JMM package $99/pp/pn includes lift and lodging at the Mammoth Mountain Inn OR at the very least, the best lift ticket deal is to get the JMM Pass which is$209 and valid every midweek day, so comes out to about $50/day for lift and get a condo elsewhere in town. Both the pass and package can be bought online or 800-MAMMOTH, but pass sale ends Jan 5 (Wed). Good luck! The snow is literally unbelievable!
