Apple Internal Code Names

Postby Marc_C » Mon Mar 17, 2014 11:19 am

Little fun fact for Monday:
Apple has internal code names for new versions of their operating systems when they are under development. Mac OS is named after wines. iOS (iPhones and iPads) is named after ski areas. The next iteration - iOS 8 - is code named: Okemo.

[Posting here for greater vis than in the Eastern US forum and that it's really only vaguely ski related.]

So the new OS will be filed with low angle threads that run parallel to one another?

Yes, but with fast packet transfer to the start of each thread using a detachable protocol.
