I didn't tell my wife until about 6 AM, after we saw the local news predict 14" at Kirkwood for Wednesday, that I was going skiing even though I was mostly packed. Before leaving at 8:45, I took dogs for a walk. It was 12:45 before I got on my first chair at Kirkwood.

It was my first day in 2016 that is was not snowing although PM visibility was marginal in places. It also was probably Kirkwood's first day in 2016 that temperature got about freezing. I skied over 19K vertical before I quit at 4:15, even though I skied a lot of slow chairs. I did two laps into Thunder Saddle, one Boylermaker and one into gully to skiers left as part of my four laps on long slow Backside chair where I was the last rider as they stopped it shortly after I got off.

I mostly skied groomed and skier packed snow, but I did find a little untracked on Boylermaker. Hopefully the predicted storm tomorrow delivers without predicted 40-80 mph wind. I can stay tomorrow night, but need to be home on Thursday as it is my anniversary.
