Info on potential buyers of Wisp

Postby johnnash » Thu Aug 16, 2012 9:23 am

I saw the news that Wisp is in bankruptcy and negotiating with 2 potential buyers. Anyone have any info on who they are? We haven't skied Wisp the last few years, but it's the best we've got within a reasonable driving distance for a weekend trip from the DC area, so I'd hate to see it close. :-(

They haven't even indicated to the bankruptcy court who the two potential buyers are.

I'm 3 weeks mentioning it in this thread, but I presume that you saw this:

Yes, thanks, I did see it when it came out, and I was happy to see that Wisp will stay in business. I know this isn't saying much, but they're the best we've got within a 3-hour drive from DC! I also think they've got a pretty good business model; they just erally over-extended themselves building multi-million dollar mansions at exactly the wrong time.
