I skied Kirkwood on Thurs. from 945-1215. It was a big difference from two days earlier. If it does not cool down, they will have to do a lot of work to make it to April 5.

It did not freeze at base overnight so E-facing Zachary on Cornice got soft fast and had some marked and many unmarked rocks. Sentinel was better, but getting brown on return to chair. Ungroomed runs and top of The Wall took longer to soften. My first run up The Wall after 11, the snow was too firm until almost the top of The Reut where nearly unskied groomers were excellent. The Wall probably would have been good at the top until 2-3 although bottom would have gotten sticky. I skied Cornice six times, then dropped my jacket and skied the Wall three before quitting with 13K in time to get back to Bay Area (where it was almost 90 at home) before PM traffic.

Snowing on Wall at 2:30 pm on Tues even though air temp was way above freezing
