Day 7: Cold.

Temperatures on Friday once again struggled to get out of the single digits, and unlike Thursday there was a stiff breeze at the summit, making it feel even colder. That combined with the fact that we were skiing the same terrain as we've been for days left me somewhat unmotivated, and I rolled into the Wildcat lot at the truly alpine start time of 11 a.m.

I stayed for a few runs. We shared a pizza in the GMD lounge. We all left.

After 23 hours, Westward Ho was still only lightly tracked.

With the cold temperatures, untracked snow still skied exceedingly well. However, those same temperatures left snow that was tracked up from Thursday somewhat stiff.

Today's a repeat, with only an inch or two of new snow and possibly the opening of the Sugarloaf chair added to the equation. We heard yesterday that Sugarloaf would open today but it's still not listed as open on the online snow report. Unfortunately, we've already been skiing the terrain open on Sugarloaf so the addition of that chair really doesn't change anything anyway. Bobby Danger just called me; we're shooting for another 11 a.m. start time today.
