Indoor Skiing

Postby Aidonithith » Sun Jan 06, 2019 11:18 pm

Has anyone ever been to any of the indoor skiing places? And if so, is it worth it?

How does it compare to the real thing? There's a snow dome not too far from where I live, and I was considering paying it a visit soon. Here's the link to the site:

THE SNOWDOME The UKs premier indoor real snow slope

Do you think it would be worth going?

Indoor skiing has been a hard sell in North America, and to my knowledge some have been proposed but none as yet have opened.

Meadowlands Xanadu in northern New Jersey was proposed in 2003, has been on and off again since that time, now scheduled to open in 2019.

Indoors skiing seems most popular in the UK and Germany, and probably soon in China. I'm sure someone on the British ski forum https://snowheads.com/ski-forum/ would know more than anyone here.
