John and I skied Silver Star from 8:30 to 12:30 on our Mustang pick-up day. Three inches of new snow in the parking lot and on the front side was somehow about boot-top deep on the backside, where there are some very nice sustained steeps and some good tree skiing. The snow was very low density, so it did not ski bottomlessly. Nonetheless, it was a nice warm up for Mustang.
