Crested Butte goes for flunking grades in communication

Wow, Vail Inc seems to really, really not have any idea how to work with the locals in CB. This episode sort of reminds me of the early season a few years back when the back bowls at Vail were nearly completely bare and Vail's PR team pretended it was a great early season in all their marketing and social media leading into the holiday period instead of being remotely realistic. Also, definite shades of Steve Job's pretending to have a reality distortion field...

And after that cryptic intro, this is how to NOT deal with media and visitors when your main base area lift goes out of service for 5 days straight... Something tells me the locals have a much better idea what the 'dark side' references have always been about concerning Vail Inc.
