Park City, UT - Inspired by the new Center of Excellence in Park City, U.S. Cross Country Ski Team Coaches Peter Vordenberg, Matt Whitcomb and Pat Casey are spearheading a select development training program this summer for young cross country skiers. The National Training Group (NTG), which is comprised of a group of rising athletes, allows the cross country ski coaches to use these resources to provide real exposure and superior training to the next group of future Olympians.

Mt. Crested Butte, CO - This year's July 4th celebration in the Gunnison Valley includes an evening of entertainment for all ages in Mt. Crested Butte. The festivities include the grand opening of the Colorado ski resort's new Adventure Park complete with climbing tower, bungee trampolines and a year-round synthetic ice rink, as well as BBQ and beer at Butte 66, live music from the Casey James Prestwood Band, and a fitting finale of fireworks at dusk.

Park City, UT - Olympic dreams will be made and broken during the 2010 U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix as the tour makes three stops in its 14th season. A total of five Olympic qualification competitions will take place at Copper Mountain in Colorado's Summit County and Mammoth Mountain in the Mammoth Lakes region of California. The tour will make its final stop at Park City Mountain Resort, the venue for the 2002 Olympics, to announce the 2010 Olympic halfpipe team.

Newbury, NH - Mount Sunapee Resort (MSR) last month submitted its new five-year Master Development Plan (MDP) for 2009-2014 to the New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development as required by its Lease and Operating Agreement with the State of New Hampshire. The plan calls for a 175-acre expansion to include new ski trails, new ski lifts and a new lodge.

Avon, CO - Jim Kercher has been hired as the director of the Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School in Colorado. Kercher previously spent almost seven years leading the Ski and Snowboard School and Guest Services team before leaving in 2007 to pursue the role of general manager at Alpine Meadows ski resort in California.
