Lake Placid, NY - Austrian Tomaz Druml put down two strong jumps Wednesday to win the nordic combined World Cup-B mass start event in Lake Placid. The Camerota twins (Park City, UT) - Brett in 12th place and Eric in 15th - led U.S. skiers on the first day of the Lamb Lumber Classic.

Druml was fourth in the 10K ski race at Whiteface Mountain and was second in each round of jumping on the 100-meter hill at the Olympic Jumping Complex to finish with 250.0 points. That ended a three-event winning streak for Germany's Tino Edelmann, who finished second; he led both rounds of jumping and finished with 248.0.
Brett Camerota was 21st in the 10K race and 13th in each round of jumping to move up nine places, finishing with 198.0 points. His brother Eric was 19th in jumping and advanced four places in the jumping phase, finishing with 194.7. Alex Glueck (Steamboat Springs, CO) had his best result this month, finishing 16th.
The sixth and final World Cup-B event of the U.S. swing will take place today with a team sprint before the Europeans return home for the holidays.
