- Cheeseman is a southeasterly facing bowl. It is made up of two halves, the groomed piste and the ungroomed which has Mt Cockayne at the top and Powder Valley.

- With the relatively low skier numbers and the choice of terrain, it can take up to a week to get tracks on some slopes.

- The turn off is just south of St Arnaud. The access road is a short gravel road which finishes at the car park. From there there is a 1-2hr walk to the ski area. There are helicopter rides available during some weekends.

- Temple Basin
- Temple Basin is a true alpine environment on the Main Divide of the Southern Alps at the heart of Arthur's Pass National Park. It faces north-west and offers long sunny days over 320 hectares of skiable terrain with a vertical rise of 430 metres. The walk from the car park to the skifield takes up to an hour.
