Queenstown, New Zealand (Monday, July 29, 2002) - The second round of the Cadbury Moro Slopestyle Series took place today at The Remarkables with over 60 riders enjoying superb competition conditions.

Roland Morley-Brown from Queenstown took first place in the menšs after impressing the judges with his national level of riding. He was closely followed by Tim Shaw who performed the best rail slide of the day, stunning the judges with a 270 on, 270 off.

The was strong turn out from the girls with Hana Sullivan from Queenstown coming top following her spectacular backflipping over the last tabletop in the course. She was followed by Holly Thorpe, also of Queenstown. Mirim M from Japan, who came third, gave the men something to think about with her backside 360s over the 35 foot tabletop.

"Everyone competed to an extraordinarily high level," said Nick Frankel, The Remarkables terrain park co-ordinator. "The juniors such as Ted and Sam Hanna in particular stood out. They were competing at a senior level and gave the older, more experienced riders a major run for their money."
