Bend, OR (Sunday, January 26, 2003) - Open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages, registration for the second Mountain Dew Slopestyle competition of the season is Saturday, February 1, 2003 from 8 AM to 10 AM in the Lower West Village Lodge with the contest starting at 11 AM.

Participants will be allowed to warm up in the Slopestyle Arena next to the Pine Marten Express chairlift from 8 AM to 11 AM. The Slopestyle Arena will consist of a variety of rails, and big and small hits. Competitors will be compared using established criteria by judges from High Cascade Snowboard Camp. Contestants are separated by sport (ski or snowboard), gender (male or female) and age (12 years and under, 13-17 years, and 18 years and older). Cash and gear from Mt. Bachelor, Mountain Dew, SMITH and DaKine will be awarded to the top three contestants in each category.

Participants must have a valid lift ticket or pass, and event registration cost is $10. Helmets are required as well as signed parental waivers for participants under the age of 18. Waivers are available on the Mountain and at the Mt. Bachelor Marketing Office, 115 SW Columbia in Bend.
