Whitefish, MT (Wednesday, January 29, 2003) - Big Mountain Resort and Kalispell Ski Club will host the annual Fun Bump Bash on Feb. 1. The mogul skiing competition takes place on Lower Mully’s ski run off the Swift Creek chairlift (Chair 2).

The Fun Bump Bash has become a winter events calendar mainstay due to its relaxed feel and no frills atmosphere. This season’s competition welcomes the addition of a first-ever Telemark division. The Fun Bump Bash is open to all skiers.

Registration takes place from 8 - 10 a.m. at the Guest Services and Information Center with a 12 p.m. start time. Entry fee is $15 and includes a commemorative t-shirt and a chance to win a variety of prizes.

All Telemark skiers have the opportunity to enter a Giant Slalom race on Feb. 2. The race is held on Ed’s Run, also off the Swift Creek chairlift. Registration happens from 8 - 9:30 a.m. at the Info Center with an 11 a.m. start time and $15 race entry fee.

Each racer will run the course twice, with men’s and women’s divisions and age classifications in each category. A variety of prizes will be awarded. Sponsors of the event include Truby’s, Big Mountain Sports, Kalispell Ski Club, and Whitefish Telemark skiers.
