Premier Snowskate Announces First-Ever U.S. Open of Snowskating
Portland, OR (Wednesday, May 14, 2003) - Premier Snowskates has announced the first-ever U.S. Open of Snowskating.
Why? "Because it just needs to happen," says Andy Wolf, founder and owner of Premier Snowskate. "It's time. There's a lot of kids out there snowskating and there's tons of regional contests that are always happening around the country, so it's time to bring back some flavor to summer and kick off our first-ever national contest."
The first U.S. Open of Snowskating is slated for July 5, 2003 at the top of the Mile Chair at Timberline on Oregon's Mt. Hood. In the tradition of an open event, anyone is welcome to compete. Competitors will be divided into two divisions, single-deck and bi-deck.
Besides Premier Snowskate, the event is also sponsored by Burton, Salomon, World Industries, Lib Technologies, Sims, Lamar, LTD., Surface, and others.
