Big Mountain Features Annual Bump Bash This Weekend

Whitefish, MT (Monday, January 26, 2004) - Big Mountain Resort and Kalispell Ski Club host the Fun Bump Bash, an annual mogul skiing competition happening Jan. 31 on Mully’s run, accessed by the ski area's Swift Creek chairlift (Chair 2). The Fun Bump Bash is a winter calendar mainstay due to its relaxed feel and no frills approach to competition.

“This is a fun event for us because skiers come relaxed and pressure-free,” said Syd Ryerson, events manager. “It’s a family event so we tend to see sibling rivalries and always fantastic skiing.”

Registration takes place 9 – 11 a.m. at the Outpost with event start time slated for 1 p.m. Age divisions are 10 – 12, 13 – 15, 16 – 18 and 19 and older with male and female classes. Entry fee is $10 and includes a commemorative t-shirt. All proceeds go to the Kalispell Ski Club. Awards ceremony takes place on the Outpost deck forty-five minutes after end of competition.
