Sikko Snowboards Offers Freedom of Choice at SIA Tradeshow
Las Vegas, NV (Tuesday, January 27, 2004) - Sikko Snowboards, a new brand offered by 2ndEdison Products, Inc. of Redwood City, California, launched today at the Snowsports Industries Americas Tradeshow in Las Vegas. The company announced two new product lines: custom, built-to-order snowboards and Sikko’s unique, patent-pending snowboard skins.
Sikko enters the snowsports marketplace with the world’s largest selection of snowboard graphic designs. Sikko’s online community captures ratings on each design, offering retailers unprecedented market research on design appeal, by demographic, for the company’s more than 200 different designs.
With Sikko’s growing community of artists and designers, Sikko is aiming to offer as many as 1,000 different designs by year end. Already, Sikko offers more graphic choices than any other snowboard company in the world. Sikko achieves this by recruiting artists from all over the world and offering royalties, free snowboards and cash prizes for top designs.
“Sikko is bringing freedom of choice to snowboarding. Their design selection is amazing and I was able to re-skin my existing board in less than 10 minutes. Next season, I’m going to buy one of their custom boards.” says Alan Tagg, a hardcore boarder from Orinda, California.
Using innovative, patent-pending laminate skin technology, Sikko allows boarders, for the first time, to change the graphic on the top of their existing snowboard. Riders can choose from hundreds of Sikko designs or design their own. Skins retail for $49.99 while Sikko’s US-made snowboards retail at $359.
“Sikko is challenging the current snowboard paradigm. You should be able to buy the best performance board, with the best graphics. We enable you to do that. Sikko appeals to retailers for lots of reasons including the ability to help them sell slow-moving inventory,” says Chris Bradley, Sikko Founder and CEO.
