The New Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino Opens March 15 at Ski Apache
Mescalero, NM (Wednesday, January 12, 2005) - Nestled in the mountains of southern New Mexico within the Mescalero Apache reservation, home to Ski Apache, lies the new Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino, slated to open March 15.
The newly constructed resort near Ruidoso includes 273 luxury rooms and suites priced from $129 to $399 per night, 40,000 square feet of convention and meeting facilities, golf and recreation, and entertainment at a 38,000 square-foot casino. The resort's Native American and Southwestern heritage is honored throughout with regional decor. Bronze statues of Apache Crown Dancers and a breathtaking view of sacred Sierra Blanca Peak greet visitors as they enter.
From Thanksgiving through Easter, guests of the Inn of the Mountain Gods can enjoy the 55 trails and 11 lifts of Ski Apache, New Mexico's most southerly ski and snowboard area that provides the closest opportunity for many Texans to ski and ride.
Wendell's Steak and Seafood Restaurant on premises will serve fresh seafood, aged steaks and an extensive wine list. The resort will also feature an indoor pool and workout facilities, a nightclub, a piano bar and lounge, the Big Game Sports Bar, and the Gathering of Nations Live-action Buffet
Other resort activities include big game hunting, horseback riding, sport clay shooting, hiking and biking activities. The resort also encompasses the Casino Apache & Travel Center, Smokey B's Grille, and the Apache Tee Bar and Grill.
