Seven Springs To Break Ground on New Ski Condos

Champion, PA (Monday, May 16, 2005) - Seven Springs Mountain Resort will break ground May 21 on Phase One of the resort's latest real estate project, Southwind at Lake Tahoe. The new ski in/ski out townhome and lodge development will be situated slopeside and adjacent to the resort's Lake Tahoe.

The first residential development built by Seven Springs, Southwind will comprise 204 vacation homes including 154 townhomes and 50 lodge units. The Lodge at Southwind will be operated as a condominium/hotel adding 100 lock-out rooms for short-term rental within the 50 units.

This first phase contains 54 townhomes, ranging from 1,700 to 2,500 square feet. Phase One sold out within a matter of days in late 2004. Phase Two (57 homes) will be released for presale in June 2005 by lottery from the existing waiting list. The final group of town homes and the lodge will be sold as market circumstances dictate.

Beginning later this spring, future residents can explore their design and color options at the resort's Building Design Center to create and personalize their new home. The three- to five-bedroom homes echo the natural elements of the Laurel Highlands, with exterior stone accents and wood siding, and indoor features such as slate flooring and fireplaces.

The Southwind project, valued at over $100 million, will generate significant future revenues for the local school district and township as annual tax collections are expected to exceed $1 million when the project is fully built.
