Arapahoe Basin Celebrates Spring Skiing with 4th Annual Festival of the Brewpubs
Arapahoe Basin, CO (Monday, May 23, 2005) - On Sunday, May 29, Colorado ski and snowboard resort Arapahoe Basin will be hosting its fourth annual Festival of the Brewpubs. Five local Summit County breweries will be sampling their favorite hand crafted ales at the base of the ski slopes. Brewpubs include Backcountry, Breckenridge, Dillon Dam, Pug Ryan’s and the Great Northern Tavern.
A $15 14 oz. souvenir mug can be purchased for unlimited tasting from noon until 4:00 p.m. or while supplies last. (Must be 21 years of age.)
A DJ from Jamin` Sounds will be spinning tunes in the base area from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Live music starts at 1:00 p.m. with The Arnie J. Green Band on the ticket office front steps.
A-Basin will be open from 8:30 a.m. weekends and 9 a.m. weekdays until 4:00 p.m. through June 5. All skier services are available including ski and snowboard rentals, ski school, retail shop, café and bar. For rails, jumps, bumps and thrills, the Mutha` Hucker Terrain Park caters to all.
At 10,800 feet A-Basin encourages drinking responsibly. Free soda and water will be available for designated drivers. Dogs must be on a leash. Commemorative t-shirts will be available for $10. Helmets are not required for this event.
