Arapahoe Basin Ski Area Open Through June 5

Arapahoe Basin, CO (Monday, May 30, 2005) - The final day of the Colorado 2004 - 2005 ski season will be Sunday, June 5. A-Basin continues its legacy to remain the last ski area in the state to close, and one of the last ski areas open in North America.

Spring/summer conditions exist with top to bottom skiing and riding. The ski and snowboard resort's Mutha’ Hucker terrain park is open with jumps, hits and rails. Only intermediate skiing is available on the mountain.

To celebrate closing day A-Basin will have live entertainment in the base area with Little Hercules from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and a barbeque, weather permitting.

Lift lines are short, parking is free and skier services will be available through close including ski, board and clothing rental, retail shop, cafeteria, food and beverage and 6th Alley bar. Ski school lessons are no longer available.
