Demo Ski and Snowboard Gear for Free This Weekend at Big Mountain

Whitefish, MT (Tuesday, December 13, 2005) - Montana's Big Mountain Resort and local mountain shops will offer skiing and snowboarding guests the chance to participate in "Demo Days" at Big Mountain this weekend, Dec. 17-18. Guests can try any number of ski and snowboard equipment models at no charge depending on availability.

Ski shops include Snow Ghost Outfitters, Big Mountain Rental, Ski Mountain Sports, Sportsman Ski Haus, and The White Room. Ski and snowboard equipment manufacturers represented include Rossignol, K2, Volkl, Elan, Dynastar, Black Diamond, Salomon, Tecnica, Marker, Hammerhead, Armada, Burton, Ride, Venue, and more.

Representatives will provide free equipment demos based out of tents in front of and around Big Mountain Rental in the mountain village from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

"The best thing about Demo Days is that you can try this year's equipment before you consider purchasing it," says Doreen Marcial, retail and rental manager for Big Mountain. "We encourage guests to test as many skis as they can to get a feel for the variety on the market. The twin tip skis continue to be hot this year, as well as many strong women's lines of skis."

A form of identification is required to demo equipment, as well as parental consent for those under 18 years of age.
