Forum Youngblood Snowboard Contest to Hit Ski Slopes of Waterville and Loon

Waterville Valley, NH (Saturday, January 28, 2006) - New Hampshire’s Waterville Valley and Loon Mountain ski and snowboard resorts will each host one of the qualifying events of the Forum Youngblood snowboarding contest for park shredders under 18. The event will first take place at Waterville Valley on Saturday, Feb. 4 and then move to Loon the following Saturday, Feb. 11.

Registration for both the Waterville Valley and Loon events are limited to the first 100 competitors and is free, but each competitor must have a lift ticket or season pass. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and continues until the limit is met. Judges are looking for rad style, stomped landings and unique riding skills.

Waterville Valley and Loon Mountain’s West Coast sister resort, Sierra-at-Tahoe, will be hosting the world finals on a custom made Snow Park Technologies park on March 25-26. Qualifying riders from all around the world will compete to earn a spot on the Forum Youngblood Crew.

Snowboarder Magazine rookie of the year and Waterville Valley local rider Pat Moore began his professional snowboarding career as a Forum Youngblood at age 15.
