S. Lake Tahoe, CA (Wednesday, February 22, 2006) - The Salomon Oasis ski and snowboard demo festival will make its twelfth tour stop of the season this Saturday and Sunday at Heavenly Mountain Resort, spanning the California/Nevada border at the southern end of Lake Tahoe. The 15-stop tour brings a weekend full of free equipment demos, tons of giveaways and a terrain park jam session.

Participants who visit Oasis at the California base can test-ride Salomon's 2006 line-up of skis and snowboards and see how they perform on the hill. After the test-ride, guests will receive a $100 rebate on a pair of Salomon skis or a $75 rebate on a Salomon Snowboard, redeemable at their local ski shop. They can also pick up a Salomon Oasis Hook-Up Card and get the chance to win over $100,000 in prizes like Salomon apparel or a free pair of skis or snowboard. Oasis visitors can also win one of six grand prizes including a custom snowmobile from Salomon Snowboards or one of five trips for two to Europe courtesy of Ricola and the Swiss Tourism Commission. Prize drawings will take place each day of the tour at 3:00 p.m. in the Oasis Village in the main base area.

On Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Snowboard Magazine will "Get the Shot" at the Jackpot Rail Jam at the High Roller Nightlife Park on the World Cup lift. The fifty-person field will enjoy $1000 in cash prizes and music from local DJs and tons of Salomon product and apparel. The best shot of the day will be featured on Snowboard Magazine and Salomon Oasis websites.
