Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates opened in this desert city on April 7 to offer an ‘Alpine resort’ experience where guests will be able to go skiing or simply soak up the ‘winter’ atmosphere in one of the fully licensed restaurants overlooking the ski slope, all from the desert of the United Arab Emirates.

Leisure facilities include a wellness spa including an Ayurvedic Centre, beauty treatment rooms, private spa rooms attached to the Spa Suites, fitness center, infinity swimming pool with sun deck and tennis court. There is also attached skiing facilities, snow park and over 450 retail shops and entertainment facilities completing the guest experience.

Ski Dubai is approximately 25 stories high and 80 meters wide and covered with real snow all year round. There are five different slopes of varying degrees of difficulty with a tow and chair lift. There is also a snowboard stunt park, a quarter-pipe snowboard area and a 3,000 square meter snow park with a snow cavern. Use of equipment and clothing is included in the ticket price, which starts from £15.50 for a child and £18.00 for an adult for two hour's skiing

Corporate travellers are amply catered for too. The conference wing boasts 13 banquet and conference rooms, a futuristic business center, exclusive business lounge with boardrooms, private conference rooms attached to the conference suites and the latest in telecommunication and audio-visual facilities including built-in video conferencing and high-speed wireless internet connection.

The five star Swiss chalet-style hotel features 393 deluxe rooms and suites including 15 unique Ski Chalets with unprecedented views over the indoor ski resort. Guest rooms and suites are contemporary and elegantly appointed with average room size of 61 square meters. Most of the rooms and suites are interconnecting to accommodate family needs.
