Are you looking for a unique patio swing this summer? Or a special welcome for guests at your ski chalet? If so, Bear Valley Ski Area in California is selling a piece of its history.

The resort's old Hibernation Lift is out of the ground and the chairs are up for grabs. The ski area's season passholders can purchase their little bit of Bear Valley for $200, or $250 for non-passholders. Chairs will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be purchased in-person or by phone at 209-753-2301 extension 0.

Bear Valley's current office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Chairs must be picked up no later than September 15th and there are no returns or refunds. An appropriate vehicle is needed to transport your chair (chairs weigh about 100 lbs and are six feet tall). Bear Valley staff will be on hand to help load chairs into your vehicle.

For a special Saturday sale, Bear Valley will be open on Saturday, July 22, from noon to 5 p.m. when you may visit the office, pay for your chair, and head to the top of the parking lot to pick it up the same day.
