Pete Swenson and Rick Knowles Join Wasatch Ski Distribution

Salt Lake City, UT (Sunday, July 30, 2006) - Pete Swenson and Rick Knowles have joined Wasatch Ski Distribution LLC as independent representatives to help market Ski Trab products.

Swenson, of Boulder, Colo., currently works as the Vice President of Sales for Mayfire, Inc., where he markets co-op advertising for BMW and Triumph motorcycles and acts as the company spokesperson. He is also the founder and director of the Tokyo Joe’s professional mountain bike team where he has procured support from 10 different sponsors and coordinates team events, race clinics and promotions. The 2006 North American Randonee Rally champion, Swenson competes for the Ski Trab ski mountaineering race team. He is currently organizing the Colorado Ski Mountaineering Cup (COSMIC), a four-race series held throughout Colorado. Swenson will represent Ski Trab in Colorado and New Mexico in addition to being the Ski Trab national race program director.

Knowles, of Seattle, Wash., is a ski patroller at Alpental Ski Area and Cascade Backcountry Patrol. He also instructs with the National Ski Patrol, teaching both mountain travel and rescue and avalanche safety courses. Knowles is a former Nordic racer for South Dakota State University, where he earned an engineering degree. He will represent Ski Trab in Washington and Oregon.

Ski Trab has manufactured touring skis in Bormio, Italy since 1946. Wasatch Ski Distribution distributes their products in the United States.
