Alta, UT – Originally scheduled to close Apr. 18, Utah’s Alta Ski Area has announced a bonus weekend for locals and visitors alike.nAlta will reopen its slopes for an encore Friday through Sunday, Apr. 23-25. On these extra days, Alta will run its Collins and Sunnyside chairlifts and Transfer Tow only.

Lift ticket prices will be reduced to $49 Apr. 23-25, but until then Alta is inviting all season pass holders, Silver Card holders and Powder Card holders to bring a friend to ski for $49 April 5-16. There’s a limit of one $49 ticket per passholder per day. On those same dates, those in possession of a season pass from any ski area in the United States may also receive a $49 day ticket at Alta.
