Carrabassett Valley, ME – Maine Huts & Trails’ 7th Annual Point-to-Point Classic Ski Race and Tour is set to take place on Sunday, March 15. It’s a cross-country ski race and tour set in the north woods town of Carrabassett Valley, home to Sugarloaf ski resort.
This annual event brings together cross-country skiing enthusiasts from throughout New England with the option of 20K, 40K, and 60K point-to-point tours along the Maine Huts & Trails system. All tours end at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center.
Lodging packages are available for the participants in the 40K and 60K tours; these packages include dinner, lodging, and race-day breakfast, plus a shuttle ride to the beginning of the course.
Online registration is available at www.skireg.com. Registration is now open and closes March 13, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. There is a $45 fee for the 20K and a $55 fee for the 40K (no lodging). There is a $115 fee for the 40K race and lodging package and a $125 fee for the 60K race and lodging package. There is a team entry fee of $25 per person for teams of six or more entering the 40K, available to high school and college teams.
