White-Out Cancer This Weekend at Snow Trails

Mansfield, OH – The inaugural “White-Out Cancer” event  will be held tomorrow at Snow Trails ski area in Ohio. Buckeye greats, Craig Krenzel, Justin Zwick, Ryan Miller and other former Buckeye football players will join guests for a day of fundraising in the lodge, on the ski slopes and in the tubing park. In addition, guests and family can receive discounts at Snow Trails throughout the weekend, today through Sunday.

The Slopes and Tubing Park will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Buckeye Cruise fundraising activities begin at 10 a.m. and run through 5 p.m. in the main Ski Lodge at Snow Trails. Guests can walk away with prizes and one-of-a-kind autographed Buckeye memorabilia.

The slopes will stay open until 9:30 p.m. and the Tubing Park until midnight on Saturday. Ski packages and tubing tickets can be purchased online with a 10 percent savings. Snow Trails will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to support the Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research at the OSUCCC – James.

Snow tubing is fun for everyone with no experience necessary. Beginners ages 9 and up who would like to learn to ski will receive a free group lesson with an online package purchase.

DJs will provide entertainment from 1 to 5 p.m., while fundraising activities take place with Buckeye Athletes, followed by a live performance by the band “Swagg” starting at 9 p.m. in The Snowflake Loft at Snow Trails. Kids are welcome in the Loft until 9 p.m.

A raffle will include a trip on the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer 2017 ($1,500 Value). Raffle tickets can be purchased online at SnowTrails.com/WOC or in-person at Snow Trails, and the winner need not be present to win. Every February more than 35 former Buckeye Athletes including Archie Griffin, AJ Hawk and Scoonie Penn join 3,500 Buckeye fans, cancer survivors and families on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship to combat cancer and be part of the cure. The Buckeye Cruise for Cancer has helped raise over $8 million for cancer research in eight years.
