Looking for feedback on Atomic SX skis. Considering the SX7 for my first purchased skis. I ski 98% groomed runs. How do these skis handle the end of the day sloppy crud? Hardpack? Thanks!

I am considering the 4 star and 724 EXP for my first ski purchase. I ski groomers 98% of the time. I have read on some reviews and other msg boards that the 724 requires more effort on groomers than the 4 star. If true could the same be said at the end of the day when the groomers get sloppy?

How well do the 6 and 5 star handle the crud on end of the day groomers? Conversly how do EXPs handle the hardpack?

My thoughts are a good set of intermediates should atleast provide 5-7 seasons of service. Plus if I have my own skis I would be more inclined to do a few long weekend in WV. I have been spending my last 5 1 week seasons in Park City Utah. The ski shop I rent from which is located in the lodge...

I'd rate myself at level 7. Do you feel Volkl 5Star would still be too much ski for me?

How does one go about classifying their ski skill? Intermediate vs advanced vs expert? I feel I am at least intermediate (skies parallel, quick turns through the entire run but stay primarily on groomed runs).
