Just got back from Fernie last night via car. Two of us have passports, two have birth certificates, no problem either way. Fernie was awesome, but you just have to read Craig's report to know that. Best of luck whatever plan you choose.

Thanks for the photos of Castle.
Regarding Montana, Bridger just announced "The projected opening date of December 9th will likely be postponed."
Need one of those magical Bridger clouds that dumps 3 feet.
Planning a late January trip to Castle Mountain in Alberta. It's about a 6 hour drive for us here in Helena, Montana. It will be a long weekend trip (3-4 days). Anybody been before and stayed in Pincher Creek, Alberta before? Suggestions?
BTW, most Montana areas are hurting for snow. Went to...
tirolerpeter gets to ski fresh Utah pow with his son for three days. Most people would think that's pretty cool and fortuitous...
don't forget the trip report!

Fresh Pow
May the Powder Gods be with you! Sounds like an awesome trip. I'll be at Big Sky the next 3 days, it's half-price week for frequency card holders (Big Sky only).
Yeah, this year, a Big Sky-Targhee-Jackson Hole tour could be pretty epic.

Might be there in Feb. or March, is Snow King worth a day?
Thanks Hamdog! That Headwaters lift is crazy. I've only seen it from Challenger when it was closed a couple of weeks ago. I think I'll need a couple of feet of pow to hit some of those runs. Have you done the North Snowfields into Moonlight off the tram yet?
Feb. and early March are usually pretty reliable in Montana. Big Sky is at its prime and this year is already looking good. I've already skiid Big Sky 3 times this year and its in great shape. It's the earliest the Tram has ever opened. Big Sky also has every type of terrain you could want from...
