Bout 15 on the deer valley/midway ridge line. Wind loaded, some crack propegation. No slabs reactive. Got gate-d in after getting up there. Had to drive a two storm unplowed road down through wasatch park to midway. Truck got over the hood face shots. Luckily the gate was chained but...

They were devine. Lots of nice pow out there.

Sure is painful living in such a statistically below average state.

First and seconds down Gunsight this morning. 20 inches in the gut of it. Over the old base. Tasty November treats. It was over the head.

Skiing was great in LCC today. Not a lift line to be seen. Day 18.

Good. Another weekend to skin alta.

Not to mention, utter and total nukage is on the way for the weekend. I've heard 24in through saturday, and another 12 on sunday.

I'd wager there were more people skiing Alta this weekend, than on a normal lift served weekend. The Collins lot was 3/4 full on Sunday. More than enough snow to hold up to high skier densities.

Much of the October snow on north facing slopes above 9500 is still around. Very relevant for lcc as much of the ski areas fall in this zone. I've already had three over the head days.

Marc, you'll just have to take those slivrettas out for a spin with skidog and I.

Shredded off the shoulder early this morning before the sun could get to the snow. It was really really good. Nice solid base with about 8-10 inches of fresh wet snow on top. Made for great early season skiing. It'll be a disaster the minute the sun hits the snow though. Carpe Skiem!
