    Snow time

All models are cold enough for snow into the northern mountain valleys and possibly down to the northern valley floors although dont expect much if any accumulation there. There is also a potential for lake effect Wednesday night into Thursday in the ec and Gem solutions and that could be...

Lehman foreclosing on Moonlight Basin, Area Interconnects

^Not really. It might compare for 500 vert, but then what happens for the next 1500? 5% Grade?

Acreage and Other Ski Area Size Measurements Revisited

My subjective vote would say, if MRG claims 700, Stowe could claim twice that. There is a tremendous amount of terrain upvalley that is accessible with traverses. Just isnt on the map. Both on the mansfield and spruce side.

    August Snow in the Wasatch!

I love Colorado as much as the next guy (hell I'm from there). And summer car shuttle skiing is nice. But come winter 600 inches is greater than 300 inches.

    August Snow in the Wasatch!

It's actually newish. The sun cups were all filled up with Saturday's snow. Made it a lot smoother than it might have otherwise been. I'm on a streak, for sure. It'll still be there in September, but so will the 7 mile 4K vert hike.

(Non-skiing) Kayaking Green River Lakes, Wind River Mts WY

Cool. I'll probably spend 10 days in there doing a north/south traverse in the beginning of September.

    Moonlight Basin faces foreclosure

I can envision epic car drops on a closed moonlight basin. Keep it closed! The headwaters might even keep some pow if folks didn't ski it so much.

Mt. Fuji, Japan July 28-29 (no ski but there was some snow)

"SAFETY CLIMBING GUIDE" I love it. It's like going to the chic chocs, you can only ascend and ski in certain drainages... you might disrupt the wild caribou.

Mt. Fuji, Japan July 28-29 (no ski but there was some snow)

http://www.summitpost.org/view_object.p ... _id=150415 What's the deal with everyone staying overnight on this guy? Seems like no more than 5K vert on the maps? Slope angle never goes over 30 degrees according to summit post. Seems like an easy ski to me.

Mt. Fuji, Japan July 28-29 (no ski but there was some snow)

Do they have any rules on skiing on this beast? Seems like they wouldn't like that so much.
